We are still at North Suburban
Hospital. -- in room 224. When the Dr. at Craig [Rehab Hospital]
found out Dwight was in ICU he wanted to 'wait' until his repiratory
and tube feeding are stable. When I left at 9:30 he sounded well
and was coughing very little. He is tolerating the tube feeding,
I guess. Please pray that "ALL" stays stable and that
he can go to Craig in the morning. IF he is stable for 24 hrs
out of ICU (which began at 11 a.m.) then they will call and have
Craig come get him. Craig is MIRACULOUSLY holding his bed!!!!!
Joe returned to KS today via
United. Arrived safely. Please pray that he can 'concentrate'
on work ... he will begin the weekend trips again this weekend.
Please pray for safety as he travels.
Craig's visiting hours are
M-F 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. And on Sat and Sun they are 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Not as open and flexible as the hospitals ..... they will be
doing a LOT of therapy etc and when not in therapy they want
him to be 'quiet' and un-stimulated.
We have graciously been loaned
a van until we can get Dwight's car repaired. Please pray that
we can and that the cost will be minimal (ha - do car repairs
and low cost go together
)
We continue to be grateful
for all the prayers ... it is the prayers of God's people and
His Grace that is helping us make it ..... I could not survive
otherwise!!!!!!!!!
Will keep you posted and will
send out the address and phone number of Craig Rehab when we
get it. Oh - you can go online and look up [ www.craighospital.org ] and can get an
'online' tour of the facility.
Still resting in God's hand
.... joan for us 4
