Thursday, March 6 - approx 12:30 AM (late Wednesday night)

Well ... Dr Wilcox (Dwight's current Dr) wasn't real clear on relaying Dr Siloh's (of Craig [Rehab Hospital]) information.....Dr S is up in the 'pecking order' and was not consulted on the original decision to accept Dwight. He said something about Medicaide pays for only so many Rehab days and Dwight needed to utilize them all to the fullest ... then he said something about Dwight transferring Monday BUT then he said he was sending someone to 'evaluate' Dwight tomorrow .... time unknown ..... SO ... when the original decision was made one of the two VPs of Craig that were the ones to make the decision called Joe and told him of their acceptance and told him to come to his office upon arrival of Dwight as he wanted to meet us. BUT neither Joe nor I wrote his name down ...SO....I intend to call the admissions woman we had contact with and ask her his name so I can call him (to appeal) and ask him to clarify and perhaps ASSIST in still getting Dwight into Craig Rehab .... I am SOOO perplexed as how they can say yes he is accepted and then go .. .no we want another eval ..... But God IS God and HE IS IN CONTROL ... we want what is in DWIGHT's BEST interests and we know that God wants this more than we do.

PLEASE pray .... We still feel Craig is the BEST for Dwight and wish him to be accepted. Pray for me ... I 'lost it' after Dr Wilcox left the room ... YOUR PRAYERS are carrying me right now! More than ever!!!!!!!!! (And Joe too for that matter.....the temptation to throw in the towel is great) Dwight is very alert today and slept last night and most of this morning .... Please pray he is alert and 'performs' as needed for the evaluation. He is still 'at the threshold' of being with us........he seems to be tolerating his tube feedings and his vitals are all stable .... temp is 99.2!! The phlem when he coughs is beginning to get a hint of yellow yet he is still on Flagel and another antibiotic ... I think they said ampicillian. He still has thrush. His bowels seem to have calmed down and are going on a more normal/regualar fashion. Keep the prayers ascending please!!
