PRAISE GOD FOR HIS GOODNESS
AND FAITHFULNESS!!!!!!!! There was a BIG communication breakdown
when Dr. Wilcox (Dwight's Doc) relayed what Dr Siloh of Craig
Rehab had said. I called the VP of admissions at Craig as
he had called Joe last week to confirm the acceptance and invited
us to stop by his office upon admitting Dwight as he wanted to
meet us. He explained to me that .... Dwight still IS accepted
at Craig. Dr Siloh just wishes to DELAY by a week to ensure
that Dwight is able to begin rehab upon entry to the facility!
SO DO WE!
ANYWAY ... he IS still going
to Craig ... just sometime NEXT week not this week. Karen (the
laison for Craig) is coming tomorrow to review Dwight's chart
and visit with him/me. It is at 10 a.m. BUT there is NO need
for concern as this is just a formal thing .... I was SO relieved
and overjoyed I began crying on the phone when speaking with
him but he TOTALLY understood and gave me his direct number to
call ANYTIME with questions or problems!!!!
Dwight's room is next to the
family waiting room and after the conversation I went in and
closed the blinds and took a 1 1/2 hour BADLY needed nap. I
am exhausted now but wanted very much to get this out tonite.
My mornings sometimes don't always allow for me to get on line.
Please rejoice with us .... Give God the GLORY that is HIS ALONE
and keep the prayers going!!! Still trusting for a COMPLETE
healing/recovery, joan for us 4
p.s. Dwight's vitals are still
stable, he IS tolerating the tube feedings and he is keeping
his lungs clear by productive coughs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PTL!!!
They did a followup cat scan of his chest and bowel to see
if the fluid has been absorbed by his body and I should be told
the results tomorrow. (it was 6 p.m. by the time they took him
for the C-scan) Will keep you posted .......
