First ~~ someone questioned why if Dr Winetraub didn't think Dwight had a good chance why was he videoing him for teaching purposes. OOPS....what I meant to say is that Dr Winetraub sees no reason that Dwight won't do well ... sorry!
He had another busy day of therapies etc. They are attempting to regulate his sleeping with meds yet he slept very little last night. He has mini clots in his arms ... the doc was suppose to visit with me regarding these yet i did not see him today. I've yet to hear the results of the scans, etc.
I have had an extemely down day .... it is SO extremely difficult to see one who loves life so lifeless and so extremely thin ... I remained scarce as I do not want Dwight to sense my negative emotions. Please pray for me extra strength as this is all starting to catch up to me. I am again not sleeping well also. Thanx. And no one please suggest I come home for a while because that is not an option as I truely could NOT bear to be away from him right now.
God's Mercies are new every morning and His Grace is sufficient ... I just need to get refocused and get some sleep! THANX!
In speech therapy today she came up from behind him and held a moracca about 12 inches away from his left ear, shook it and he plugged his ear with his finger. She did it a second time and the same response. It was SO funny!!!!!!!! They fine tuned his wheel chair to him so he is good to go. As soon as I complete the seizure class and suctoining (for trech) classes I can take him anywhere I want to on the hospital grounds ... which i'd love nothing better than to sit him in the sun again. It's been BEAUTIFUL weather out here.
