I left this morning without doing an update .... i went into the rec room and used the computer that is for 'patients' only (tsk tsk) yet it would not take the addresses to send it off .... therefore ... tah dah! Here I am ...
He had a good day today. He is moving more all the time yet the movements are signs of agitation and frustration ... good and bad. Good in that he is starting to 'come out ' yet bad in that he is agitated and frustrated. Yet this goes with the stage he is in .....
He rolled from his SIDE to his back today. He kept pushing his slipping glasses back up his nose. He is turning to voices .... He gave his dad a hug TWICE yesterday and I swear after the 'goodmorning' hug he had a slight smile on his face!!!! It truely blessed our hearts and it is just what his father needed ..... !!!!
When the BA shaved him yesterday he said that Dwight would turn his head and move his cheeks accordingly and when he went to do his chin Dwight bit his lower lip so he could shave the chin .... cool huh? All these little things are signs that things are beginning to 'click' inside the brain.
Tomorrow they will begin a medication that will help make his brain more alert. In the afternoon he will have a MRI to compare to previous ones. We have our family consult on Friday morning. Joe will drive out Thursday for that meeting. We will meet with the docs, the nurses, the therapists, etc to get their plan of action, etc for Dwight.
He seems to have made such progress in just the few days at Craig. There is absolutely NO doubt we have made the right choice for Dwight. Not to mention that I talked with Kenny the guy that gave us the tour and exclaimed how ecstatic we are to be here and he gave me a hug and he said his heart went out to us the day of our tour and he felt so badly for us yet there was nothing he could say or do to help. He followed this by saying that there was a LOT going on behind the scenes in our behalf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is this God or what???????????????? IT IS GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Keep the prayers rollin' ..... The trip will be tiring for Joe weekend after weekend yet he does not want to miss. Denise will 'finally' get to be with us again in two weekends .... Hoorah!!!! I miss her TERRIBLY!!
If I have not said so before they have moved him to room 206.
