Friday late night, April 4 - approx 12:50am (Sat. morning)

It is with GREAT exilleration that I inform you that Dwight SWALLOWED ON COMMAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIVE times even!!!!!! The two speech therapist and myself SCREAMED with delight the first time!!!! Poor Dwight just looked at me as if to ask what happened! When his father arrived tonight .. he sat on the edge of his bed and told Dwight he was going to give him a hug .... Dwight reached his left arm around his father's neck, pulled him into his chest and HUGGED him for several seconds! Made me cry!!!!! It was such a GENUINE hug!! He knew his dad! PRAISE GOD WITH US!!!!!! Now they want to work on 'consistency' with the swallowing as then the'll do a dye xray and if all is well then they will introduce him to liquids etc. Also, the lung doctor listened to him and his lungs were CLEAR!!! That is after several days with the Jackson Trach!! SO..... all is beginning to progress and we recognize it as ALL from GOD AND ONLY GOD!!!! ! Cor 2:5 "....so that 'our' faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the POWER OF GOD"..!!!!!!! May God find us faithful!!!! joan for us 4
