Today was a GORGEOUS day in the
mountains! Dwight and I took several mini walks ... one where
the mountains were in the foreground the entire time. We enjoyed
it.
Another MILE STONE .... NO MORE
FEEDING TUBE!!!!! Upon giving some meds/water the nurse noticed
that the tube was out about five inches. She called the head
nurse who called a doctor who said to call the GI doctor ...
who examined it and then removed it!!! HALLELUJAH!!!! No more
foreign objects!!!!! They were only using it to supplement liquids
anyway.
His blood pressure has been unusually
low so they took him off the new med they had put him on this
past Tuesday. Since removing this med his BP
"seems" to be 'normalizing' somewhat.
He was weighed today and has
lost about 4 pounds -- which no one seems to be too concerned
about. SO I won't be concerned ... guess I need to feed him more
donuts and chocolate!!!! Just kidding ~~~~ He does eat well and
pushes the plate away when he has had enough.
He is initiating the use of the
right hand more each day as well. He understands that he has
a lot of work ahead and he prayed for the strength to do it yesterday
during our prayer time.
Keep those prayers going ...
we need them! May God find us faithful! joan for us 4
1 Cor 2:5 "so that 'our'
faith should not rest on the wisdom of men BUT on the POWER OF
GOD" !!!!
