Wednesday evening, April 30 - approx 7:15 PM

Hi! Dwight's voice inflection makes, even his limited conversations, so much fun! He is 'beginning' to initiate minimal conversation as well. It all depends on how he feels. He had a horrible headache this morning which took most of the day to go away. Dr. Lewis came in and checked Dwight's right side this evening. He is ordering a CAT scan to find out what is going on and be sure all is alright. He ordered the scan because of all the problems the misplaced tube caused, etc. His appetite is good and all but the Doc wants to rule all out. There is no appendix but he does have his gall bladder .... In PT today KL (the sub) had him at the parallel bars ... gaining ground on his balance. The brain has to be 'reprogrammed' where "center" is for walking. She had him walk up and back the WHOLE length of the bars (about 20 or so feet) several times. He did very well! Had to remind him to move his right arm as he sort of just let it 'drag' behind a couple times. It is gaining strength daily as well. To quote his regular PT ... "He blows my mind" !!!! His progress is leaps and bounds ... the road is VERY VERY long we have to travel BUT with God all things are possible....as this too shall pass! Keep those prayers and letters/cards coming! He opens and reads his own mail now. He rec'd a packet of letters from a group of people from church and he opened and read those while on the EZ Stand chair. He even read a couple out loud! The website is progressing nicely!!! (THANX Patrick!) Will be sure and notify you right away when it is up and running!
