Hello! Today was a pretty good
day for Dwight. He went on an outing with Speech and it was
to a Japanese Steakhouse and to quote him, "I had a blast"
... he also THOROUGHLY enjoyed
the food. It beat cafeteria food he said!
They removed the Craig Bed and
put in a normal hospital bed.
They
also removed the lock belt!!!
These
are both big steps as it indicates great improvement on his part.
He still has what they call a 'gate' belt on when transporting
in the wheel chair ... this is a precaution ... The fact that
he is in a normal bed indicates that his 'impulsiveness' is passing
and he is waiting for instructions.
They also are prepping him for
'shared BA'
... that is where
one BA will care for him and another patient in another room.
This too indicates that he is improving. Yet it causes me to
be a tiney bit nervous ....
I dialed the number but then
I gave him the cell phone and 'he' conversed with Denise's office
... asking for her , telling them he would wait, etc. It was
cool ... next time I'll have to let him do the dialing as well!!
He also worked very hard at all
classes today .. even after the outing. An outing is VERY EXHAUSTING
for him yet he pushed forward and endured to the end!!
God is good ... ALL the time!!!
May God find us faithful!!! joan for us 4
1 Cor 2:5 " so that 'our' faith should not rest
on the wisdom of men BUT on the POWER OF GOD" !!!!
