Wednesday evening, May 14 - approx 6:00 PM

Hello! Today was a good day. They used the walker in PT with him once again and it went much better than before. He will not be at the point of a walker upon returning home. He will be in the wheelchair initially. He had pool therapy again and it too went VERY well. The poor man didn't remember he can swim like a fish and was a bit reluctant to follow their initial requests. He did beautifully though. The right side ... especially the arm....is very limited but it will come with time. Joe returned from his business trip to here in Denver. He has the rental car here so they had to send him back here. He will return to KS probably tomorrow. He will not return for the weekend. If all goes as planned we will probably be discharged on the 30th of May and return to KS on the 1st of June. We would appreciate no visits until notified as he will have to adjust and get settled. We have no idea how exhausting the trip will be. We may have to do it in two days. Only time will tell. He is scheduled for therapy evaluations at Wesley Rehab on Tuesday the 3rd of June so he will need to be rested for this. We will let everyone know when he is ready for visitors and calls. We appreciate everyones understanding on this. We are only keeping Dwight's best interest in mind. Thanx!
