Hello! Things are going well.
Thank you SO much for praying for my sharing with the ladies
of the church on Tues evening the 15th. The program normally
lasts 20 minutes and I squeaked in 60!!!!
What can I say ??? Then I left out SOOO much and forgot some
but drew consolation in the fact that God had me share what HE
wanted me to. There was so much to share in such a little time.
I felt very comfortable sharing and went there with eager anticipation
(and a little nervousness) .... I just pray it was a blessing
and encouragement to all who heard (and will hear ... they recorded
it at the request of Pastor and some of the absentees)
Dwight is progressing ... he
is up to 183 lbs and is now beginning to rebuild the muscles
... To look at him you'd know nothing was wrong .... we still
pray that the frontal lobes and other cells will turn out to
be just 'stunned' and rebuilding themselves. Time will tell.
He is still gung-ho with therapy
and knows this is the only way to get better. For which we are
grateful. A good attitude is so important right now. He just
still, due to the injury, does not truely comprehend how injured
he is and the limitations that go with this. So pray for his
comprehension and understanding and that he will see that we
are just looking out for his best interest. (ie: He wanted to
get out his mountain bike today and ride it ... after all he
rides a 'bike' in therapy (stationary one) ... his father was
successful, after a good bit of conversation, to convince him
he was not yet there and that we were looking out for his best
interest.
He turns 24 next Friday the 25th.
We truely felt he would not live to see this birthday. I think
it would be a HUGE encouragement for him to receive a 'shower'
of birthday cards.... [ request

for considering this! We are in hopes to get add'l pictures
added to the website shortly ....
May God find US faithful!!!! joan for us 5
