Hello! I have waited on another update until meeting with Dr. Veenis. We had this meeting on Tuesday and it was very encouraging. He feels Dwight's progress is VERY GOOD and that things are going very well! He cautioned Dwight on driving as multi-tasking was one of his lower scores on the battery of tests the neruologist conducted and driving involves a LOT of multitasking.

He feels that Dwight will be 1-3 months longer in therapies. Some finishing before others. In fact, today, Anh Tei...the Physical Therapist concluded his therapy. He said that Dwight can continue what he normally does at therapy on his own. Anh Tei (an-tee) said that all he does is walk around and talk with Dwight and that was an unnecessary expense for the insurance company to pay! We were grateful for his honesty. So, PRAISE THE LORD, one down and two to go.

Dr. Veenis said that the swelling/stunning of cells is probably over ... meaning that it is even more of a wait and see game. The battery of tests in December will reveal what have healed themselves, or are in the process of healing, and what are truely damaged and irreparable. However, the brain has primary and secondary areas and when the primary is functioning properly, the secondary remains dorment. In the event of an injury, with the primary being damaged, the secondary become the primary and function as normal. Plus, there are areas of the brain that can compensate for other areas as well. So, we are very hopeful and look with anticipation as God continues to HEAL Dwight's brain completely.

To look at Dwight you'd never know there was anything wrong. Sometimes, his conversation level/ actions are the maturity of a fifteen year old instead of a twenty-four year old. But this is improving and will continue to do so over time. He is a barrel of gun though and keeps Joe and I laughing.

Keep praying with regards to a "COMPLETE" healing as God has not shown Joe and I otherwise. We SOOOO appreciate your prayers. God bless~~~love to all ~~~
